Best results yet at school in special measures

A SCHOOL controversially placed in special measures less than three months ago is celebrating its best set of GCSE results yet.

St Ives School's new executive head teacher Richard Schofield said he was "delighted" that 64 per cent of Year 11 students have gained five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths, a 16 per cent increase on the 2012 result and one which is likely to place St Ives among the most improved schools in England.
